http://regencyemailer2.blogspot.com/

The above link will take you to my blog where my emails are now being stored. As I mentioned in previous emails, I am having some problems related to those residents who use AOL.

Periodically all residents should go to the above link to see if they are receiving my emails. This is especially true for AOL residents. On the left side of the blog you will see EMAIL ARCHIVES as you scroll down. My emails will be stored there.

Besides AOL, some residents email addresses are coming back as non-deliverable for various reasons. Many are due to your mailboxes being full, so please empty them routinely. It would be impossible for me to contact each person whose email address is coming back as non deliverable. So, again on my blog on the left side you will see PROBLEMS WITH EMAIL ADDRESSES. If your name is in this link, then you are not receiving my emails according to the information being sent to me. You would need to give me some valid email address. To test to see if you are having a problem, just send an email to yourself. If you receive it, then I would have to look at the error sent to me and I will send you a copy of the error. If you don't receive your email, then you have a problem and you should contact your ISP or email provider.

I have now reached 400 emails so you can see that with multiple problems related to emails, it becomes a problem for the EMAILER. The blog was set up for these purposes since you can review all the emails online just like I had done, once before, by using the Regency Website.

AOL RESIDENTS - SEND ME AN EMAIL

Well I think I might have solved the problem, but I need your help. If you have an AOL Email Address, please send an email to me at:

REGENCYMESSAGES@HOTMAIL.COM

Don't do a reply to my rpost@monmouth.com. The reason I am asking you to send me an email is so that I don't have to type 130 addresses into my Hotmail account. I don't use Outlook or Outlook express so I can't import your email addresses into Hotmail. Once I receive your email I could then add your address to my contact list within Hotmail. It would save me a lot of time. I have setup the Hotmail account so that all of your messages will be sent to my monmouth.com address automatically.

I sent out a few emails to my AOL customers from Hotmail and nothing bounced back as undeliverable. Then I sent out the same messages from my Monmouth.com address and they all came back as undeliverable.

In order for you to get this message I will have to send it out 3 separate times over a 3 day period. So some of you will be getting it before others. Unfortunately the next message in this email is of a timely nature so please use your telephones to correspond with other residents about the passing of Marty Grosseto

RESIDENTS WHO USE AOL
I NEED YOUR HELP IF YOU WISH TO CONTINUE RECEIVING EMAILS

AOL is driving me crazy! You might think you are receiving my emails but if you ask the non-AOL residents about some of my previous emails, you probably are not getting all of them. I put 15 email addresses in each AOL mailbox. I send out no more than 99 total emails to AOL residents within 24 hours. That's their rules. Yet I am still being blocked and the Postmaster from AOL is not helping at all.

Out of the total 400 emails that I send out 130 are from AOL. So with only 99 being allowed (but still being blocked), I would have to send out AOL emails in 2 separate days.

So in order to make sure you receive this email I am going to send it out over a period of maybe 3-5 days. My emails will be posted on my blog, which is still in the works but put this link in your favorites
http://regencyemailer2.blogspot.com/
and periodically go there to see if you missed any of my emails.

I am not sure if it would help but if you are an AOL customer, please send the following message to the AOL POSTMASTER:
THE EMAIL ADDRESS IS:

POSTMASTER@AOL.COM

THE MESSAGE SHOULD READ:

"PLEASE DO NOT BLOCK OR FILTER ANY EMAILS COMING FROM

RPOST@MONMOUTH.COM (IP ADDRESS 72.76.176.113)

I HAVE GIVEN AUTHORIZATION FOR THIS PERSON TO SEND ME EMAILS. THESE EMAILS PROVIDE US WITH INFORMATION WE REQUIRE IN ORDER TO KEEP US INFORMED ABOUT OUR LIFESTYLE IN AN ADULT COMMUNITY.

IF I INADVERTENTLY PLACED ONE OF THESE EMAILS IN MY SPAM BOX, PLEASE DISREGARD, AS THESE EMAILS ARE NOT SPAM"

THANK YOU

JUST COPY AND PASTE THE ABOVE INTO AN EMAIL TO THE POSTMASTER@AOL.COM. HOPEFULLY THEY WOULD DO SOMETHING POSITIVE.

HOPEFULLY WHEN WE HAVE OUR CHANGEOVER FROM AB I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT NOBODY USE AOL. I HAVE DONE MUCH READING ON AOL AND IT'S PRACTICES. ONE THING I FOUND OUT WAS THAT IN A PREVIOUS VERSION, AOL WAS ABLE TO LOOK AT EVERYTHING ON YOUR COMPUTER. THEY EVEN DO IT NOW BY CHECKING YOUR SPAM BOX AND IF MY EMAILS ARE IN IT, THEY WILL BLOCK THEM. SO AGAIN, DON'T PUT ANYTHING IN YOUR SPAM BOXES. JUST DELETE IT IF YOU DON'T WANT SOME EMAIL.

AOL'S FILTERING SYSTEM IS NUMBER 1. DON'T THINK THAT THIS IS GOOD. IF SOMEONE SENDS YOU A RECIPE FOR CHICKEN BREASTS YOU MIGHT NOT RECEIVE IT. THEY ARE A COMPANY THAT FILTERS MORE LEGITIMATE EMAILS THAN ANY OTHER COMPANY.

AS A PERSON WHO RECEIVES ABOUT 400 EMAILS A DAY, I HAD TO HAVE MONMOUTH.COM, MY ISP, REMOVE ALL FILTERS BECAUSE I WASN'T RECEIVING MANY EMAILS FROM EBAY CUSTOMERS. IF I HAD AOL, THE NUMBER WOULD HAVE TRIPLED BECAUSE OF THEIR STRONG FILTERING SYSTEM.

YOU WOULD SAY, WELL I DON'T THINK I AM HAVING A PROBLEM SINCE YOU ARE RECEIVING EMAILS. YOU WILL NEVER KNOW IF YOU DID OR DIDN'T UNLESS SOMEONE SAID TO YOU, DID YOU READ MY EMAIL (BUT YOU NEVER RECEIVED IT).

I WAS GOING TO OPEN UP SOME EMAIL ACCOUNTS TO SEND OUT EMAILS TO AOL RESIDENTS BUT THIS PROBLEM NEEDS TO BE SOLVED INSTEAD OF CIRCUMVENTED. TO ME, EMAIL IS LIKE MAIL AND IF I TOOK A PIECE OF MAIL OUT OF YOUR MAILBOX I WOULD BE THROWN IN JAIL. HOWEVER, ALL OF THESE AOL TYPE COMPANIES BECAUSE OF THE SPAM PROBLEMS HAVE BASICALLY SAID, WE WILL TAKE YOUR EMAIL, WHETHER LEGITIMATE OR NOT, AND DELETE IT IF WE WANT TOO.

I SOUND LIKE ONE OF THOSE CIVIL LIBERTIES TYPE PERSONS BUT FRANKLY IT ISN'T RIGHT WHAT AOL AND COMPANIES LIKE AOL ARE DOING. IMAGINE A BREAST SURGEON WRITING HIS COLLEAGUES ON NEW ADVANCES IN BREAST SURGERY. IF HE SENT IT OUT TO 500 SURGEONS HE WOULD BE BANNED FOR LIFE BY AOL. I GUESS AS A PHARMACIST JUST PUTTING THE WORD VIAGRA IN AN EMAIL TO PATIENTS OR MEMBERS OF THE MEDICAL PROFESSION WOULD AUTOMATICALLY VIOLATE SOME RULES OF AOL.

I THINK I'D BETTER PRE-WARN AOL, WHEN THEY MESS WITH THE EMAILER OF REGENCY, THEY ARE MESSING WITH THE BEST! I WILL KEEP YOU ABREAST OF THE SITUATION IN MY FIGHT AGAINST RIGHT AND WRONG. THAT'S FOUR BLUE WORDS IN ONE EMAIL!!!! I'VE REACHED A NEW PLATEAU IN EMAILING.

CONGRATULATIONS TO LAURA & MARTIN METZ

LAURA & MARTIN METZ, 22 WINNIE PALMER COURT, ARE HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THE ARRIVAL OF THEIR NEW GRANDDAUGHTER...ABIGAIL KATE LEMBERGER ON NOVEMBER 3, 2006. SHE WEIGHED 7 LBS, WAS 18 1/2 INCHES LONG, AND IS THE SECOND CHILD FOR DR STEVEN AND ELISA LEMBERGER OF HOWELL, N.J. THIS IS THE SIXTH GRANDCHILD FOR LAURA AND MARTIN, THE BEST PART IS THAT THEY ALL LIVE WITHIN 15 MINUTES OF REGENCY.

CHINA TRAVELLERS HAVE ARRIVED BACK TO REGENCY

The first thing Stu Finger said to me was, "No more Chinese Buffet's for at least 4 months". They all seemed to enjoy themselves and according to Larry Ehrlich, he couldn't find one bagel anywhere in China. So he put some lox and Cream Cheese on an eggroll and pretended it was a bagel.

From the pictures Ted Shuster sent me which I have uploaded on my new picture website (no more passwords): http://picasaweb.google.com/REGENYEMAILER
it looks like the Regency travellers spent many hours sleeping. Actually the women looked like they were having a BLAST. It was the men who were fast asleep. What else is knew! Anyway, we are all happy you enjoyed yourselves and are back to the community in good health.

WOMEN'S CLUB RACE FOR THE CURE

On October 29, 2006, twenty-seven women and three men from Regency braved the cold, wind, and mud to participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. I am proud to say that we raised $4,127 to date.
We can continue to send in donations until November 30, 2006. If you wish to make a donation, please bring it to me at 7 Doral Drive and I will forward it to the organization.
If you care to donate directly, mail you check to:
Susan G. Komen Foundation
2 Princess Road
Suite D
Lawrenceville, NJ 08648
Kindly put our team number 550 on your check.
We hope that next year our numbers will at least double in participation in the race and in donations. Let's work together to eradicate this dreadful illness.

Thank you.

A WINTERIZING REMINDER

It's that time of year again when I remind everyone to shut off your outdoor water. Remember, close the valve in your home first and then open the water bibs on the outside of your home.

At the beginning of the year you should change all the batteries in your smoke and fire alarms. I also change the battery in my garage door keypad. In the summer if it goes bad so I get a little suntan but in the winter, BRRRRR!

New homeowners, don't panic when you click on your remote for your fireplace and it doesn't work. Remember their are 2 sets of batteries, one in the remote and the other in the fireplace itself.

Fire Election Absentee Ballot Reminder

Please remember the address you want the Fire Election Absentee Ballot sent to you (the second address on the Request for Absentee Ballot) is the address you will be at in the first week of February 2007. Requests for Absentee Ballots with instructions for completion are available at the Clubhouse Concierge

PROBLEMS SENDING EMAILS TO AOL RESIDENTS
AS MANY OF YOU KNOW ALREADY, SENDING EMAILS TO AOL RESIDENTS HAS BECOME PROBLEMATIC. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM WITH AOL BUT UNFORTUNATELY THIS MIGHT TAKE SOME TIME.
THE PROBLEM BASICALLY IS AN ERROR CALLED 554 ISP:B2. IT'S RELATED TO MY GENERATING A HIGH VOLUME OF EMAILS TO CUSTOMERS OF AOL. THIS PROBABLY IS THE MAIN CAUSE BUT ANOTHER CAUSE CAN BE THE WAY YOU DISCARD MY EMAILS. IF IT IS PLACED IN YOUR SPAM BOX AND NOT IN YOUR TRASH BOX THEN AOL WILL CONSIDER THE MESSAGE AS SPAM. I HAVE ASKED AOL TO LET ME KNOW WHO MIGHT BE DOING THIS IN ORDER FOR ME TO CORRECT THAT PROBLEM.
AOL DOES HAVE FORMS I CAN FILL OUT DEALING WITH THE BLOCK THEY HAVE PUT ON MY EMAILS. THE TWO FORMS ARE CALLED THE FEEDBACK LOOP AND THE WHITELIST FORMS. HOWEVER, IN ORDER TO FILL THESE FORMS OUT (WHICH I DID) YOU CANNOT BE IN A BLOCKED SITUATION WHICH IS WHAT THEY HAVE DONE.
RIGHT NOW I HAVE APPROXIMATELY 130 RESIDENTS ON THE EMAIL SYSTEM THAT USE AOL (OUT OF APPROXIMATELY 400). AT ONE TIME I WAS ABLE TO SEND OUT 1 OR 2 EMAILS TO AOL RESIDENTS BUT AT THIS TIME, NONE ARE ALLOWED. I CAN'T EVEN SEND OUT EMAILS TO MY EBAY CUSTOMERS WHO ARE ON AOL.
THEREFORE, TEMPORARILY UNTIL THE SITUATION IS RESOLVED WITH AOL, YOU WILL HAVE TO GO TO THE BLOG, WHICH I RECENTLY SETUP. I WILL POST ALL OF MY EMAILS ON THIS BLOG. AGAIN THIS BLOG SHOULD BE PUT INTO YOUR FAVORITES AND YOU SHOULD PERIODICALLY GO THERE TO SEE WHAT I MIGHT HAVE POSTED. ALL OF MY PREVIOUS EMAILS WILL BE ON THE BLOG. HERE IS THE LINK TO MY BLOG - REMEMBER ONCE YOU GO TO THE BLOG, CLICK ON FAVORITES AND ADD IT.
MY APOLOGIES FOR THE PROBLEM BUT SOMETIMES THESE THINGS ARE OUT OF MY CONTROL.

REGENCY AOL CUSTOMERS

NOTE - THIS EMAIL MAY BE REPEATED AS I AM STILL TESTING TO SEE IF AOL RESIDENTS ARE RECEIVING MY EMAILS.
I found out that the last email to the community wasn't received by many residents. In my review of the problem I noticed that ONLY customers of AOL were affected. So I spent at least 24 hours working on the problem with AOL, Comcast DSL and Monmouth Internet.
It is a complicated issue which if you really want to know what happened you can read my email that I just sent to the Postmaster@AOL which is below.
I am currently separating out all residents with AOL addresses and putting them into a separate email box. Until the problem is resolved, I would probably have to send out my emails to AOL recipients in lots of about 25 emails at a time. I am not sure that the block they put on my sending out emails involves small numbers of emails since I have been getting word back from some AOL Regency customers that they have received my emails (when done individually). So I am going to send out 25 and see if it works. If it doesn't then I will reduce down that number until it works or until AOL does something about the problem.
They indicated that I will hear from them within 3 days. Naturally this problem will cause additional work on my part but my love for this community far exceeds the time that I have to spend doing this.
Also, I am extracting the following from my email below because it is important that you handle emails this way: "I know that if a resident takes one of my emails and instead of deleting it they put it into the SPAM box, then you are notified that my email is being considered SPAM by a resident(s). I think that ALL residents living here aren't aware of this and I will make certain that when they want to delete my messages, they should just delete it and put it into the TRASH bin of their email box. They then can empty their TRASH bins without causing problems related to SPAM."
For those who wish to know more about the problem here is my email to the Postmaster@AOL
Hi,
I have spent almost 24 hours in speaking with AOL personnel and Verizon DSL personnel regarding a problem I am having sending emails to AOL recipients. Finally, one of your AOL employees decided to forward the problem to the postmaster@AOL. The ticket number is 1292202.
Basically, I am known as the "emailer" from a senior adult community here in New Jersey. Eventually this community will have 1600+ homes. At the present time about 400 residents have agreed either in writing or sending me an email that they wish to be part of my community emailing system. So what I am doing is NOT sending SPAM since they have all elected to allow me to send them emails.
The problem is that my email list is growing and many of the 400 residents are on AOL. AOL has blocked my IP address which is 72.76.176.113 from sending emails to AOL recipients. Again, it is being sent to residents who have asked that I send them these emails.
I would be glad to have every AOL customer of yours send you an email indicating that they want me to send them my emails. I think that by doing this it might resolve the problem but you will be getting hundreds of emails which I don't think is beneficial. They can indicate to you that they want the above IP address to send emails.Your current system looks at how many emails are being sent out by an individual and if there are too many, then it automatically is considered SPAM and it is blocked.
I truly understand your problem and recognize that SPAM is becoming a major problem for everyone. However, legitimate emails should not be banned and acted upon as SPAM if too many are sent out by a single individual.
In speaking with your customer representatives, they suggested my having a Static Reverse DNS vs. a Dynamic Reverse DNS. Verizon tells me that Static Reverse DNS is usually obtained by businesses that send out lots of emails. I am NOT a business so obtaining a Static Reverse DNS is really not the answer.
I have copied below both emails that were sent to me regarding my filling out the Feedback loop which allows me to send out many emails at a time to AOL recipients. I also filled out your White List request form that also is to help in resolving this problem. Both of these forms were filled out at the request of various customer service representatives from AOL. I guess they didn't realize that filling out these forms served no purpose because with my IP Address being blocked, these forms couldn't be acted upon. I think this should be conveyed to your Customer Service representatives.Again, I just want to send out emails to residents living in my Adult Community.
I hope that something can be done to eliminate the problem on your end. I know that if a resident takes one of my emails and instead of deleting it they put it into the SPAM box, then you are notified that my email is being considered SPAM by a resident(s). I think that ALL residents living here aren't aware of this and I will make certain that when they want to delete my messages that they should just delete it and put it into the TRASH bin of their email box. They then can empty their TRASH bins without causing problems related to SPAM.
I hope you can resolve this matter in a timely fashion.
Thanks again
Ron Post
