THE BRONX CLUB MEETING SCHEDULED FOR THIS COMING SUNDAY HAS BEEN CANCELLED. HMMMM! I WONDER IF THE BROOKLYN CLUB HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS?

I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU, BUT I CAN GO FOR A MRS. STAHL'S POTATO KNISH. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HER SITTING IN THE BACK AND MAKING KNISHES. IN THOSE DAYS SHE LOOKED 90 SO SHE MUST BE 120 TODAY AND MAKING KNISHES FOR HER FRIENDS IN HEAVEN. NO, I AM NOT THAT DESPERATE IN WANTING ONE OF HER KNISHES!!!

MEN'S GOLF AT THE MEADOWS - IMPORTANT MEETING THIS SUNDAY - 10 AM

In an email that I sent out directly to all those golfers who signed up this year for playing golf at the Meadows, I mentioned that a very important meeting will take place this Sunday at 10 AM in ballroom 3. I hope that you can attend.

As a note to all the Regulars, when I send out an email directly to you and not as a general email like this one, the email for golf goes to 90 players which includes, current regulars (about 54 players) and the balance are players who have played previously with us or who have requested to be subs. When I post the schedule and consolidate groups, the schedule will show either 0,1,2 or 3 open spots depending upon how many players will be playing that week. When there is 1,2 or 3 open spots, those of you who aren't regulars can contact the Captain of the foursome if you want to play in one of the open spots.

A NICE EMAIL FROM A RESIDENT WHO THANKS THE RESIDENT PURCHASING COMMITTEE FOR THEIR HARD WORK

I wanted to thank you and your purchasing committee.. My wife lived in Greenbriar, and brought her landscaper with her when we got married. Last year, we paid $2,010 to have the shrubs tended. This year, $380. We also switched to Comcast Blast 16 from DSL, saving money and gaining speed, and to Alarm Relay, saving even more money. You are doing a great service to the Regency residents, and I appreciate it very much.
Thanks again.

EMAILER'S NOTE: As a member of the Resident Purchasing Group, our group thanks the community for all the kind words related to our accomplishments. As the recipient of your nice emails and telephone calls, this is all passed on to the members of the committee. The committee will be working on addtional items or services and please don't hesitate to let us know of anything that you would want us to look into.

MORE INFORMATION REGARDING POWERWASHING OF HOMES

Anyone interested in powerwashing that has been arranged through our Purchasing Committee, at the rate of about $75 for one level house and about $100 for a two level house, please call Tom Costanza at 732-762-1870 or 732-851-6795. Thanks, Marilyn

(THANKS AGAIN TO MARILYN JACLIN AND MARK KLEIN, TWO MEMBERS OF THE RESIDENT PURCHASING COMMITTEE WHO DEALT WITH POWERWASHING)

HERE WE GO AGAIN

If you remember one thing that bothers me a lot is when a company has different prices for different people without any rhyme or reason as to who gets what price. This was something that Westminster Security did and because of this, many residents felt that it was time to change companies.

Recently, as you know, when I received a very good price from Comcast, I informed the community. I have no clue as to why Comcast is giving some residents such a hard time. Yes, they call it a "promotional offer" which of cause can end at anytime, but when the offer is still on the table. one person calls, they say no, the next person calls and they say okay. to the BLAST 16 price of $24.99. Comcast is now questioning how this price was made available. I can only suggest to Comcast one thing, look at every single promotion offer you have and when someone asks for the best price, don't give them higher prices then others are getting. This will only work against them. Either by telephone or by asking Comcast to meet with our Resident Purchasing Group, we hope that this matter can be handled to the satisfaction of all residents.
ADT - HOME SECURITY SYSTEM

I've been told by some residents that ADT is not allowing them to opt out of their current contract. This might be for just those residents who are here less than 3 years and have signed a contract for security at the time they purchased their homes. I'm here for 6+ years and even though my contract is annual and it was to expire in August they allowed me to end it early without any penalties.

My thanks to Mark Chasin for letting me know about how to go about unlocking your Security system. When Westiminster Security put in our system, two different boxes were installed and it depends upon your home. One was installed where you would need a CODE to unlock the system so that another company can do the monitoring. If you need the code, you can contact JM Resources at 610-992-9300 and they should be able to give you the code. Also, if you are living at Regency for 5 years, change the battery in the box. You would want to do this before your system tells you that you need a new battery. The life is about 5 years on these batteries.

WE FOUND A REGENCY NOTARY OR TWO

You ask and we shall find. My last email included a note about whether or not a Regency resident(s) can notarize documents (versus going to a bank). To the rescue is Fran Pickus and Michael Toubin

"If I can help anyone please let them contact me - my number is 732-605-1053." Thank you Fran."

ATTENTION MEN GOLFERS (REGENCY GOLF LEAGUE)

The Regency Men's Golf League will be playing on Thursdays at 8AM and 10AM. Again we will ask for people to notify us as to which time they prefer, when they send their checks,.

If we have too many people at either time, we will have to rotate everyone once a month to the time with the available slots.

All players are required to have GHIN handicaps by April 29, in order to be included in the first week's competition, and to enable the computer to assign the teams. for weekly competition.

This year, all competitions will be team events.

Golf Handicap Index fee for $20 in cash is payable in Golf Pro Shop. This should be done early in April as they will have to activate the handicap for those that are already in the system, or create the handicap for new members, prior to entering scores

(New Golfers: To establish a handicap, ten 9 hole scores or five 18 hole scores must be entered)

Cost is $60 for league membership which includes dues, beginning of year breakfast, end of season luncheon, and prizes.
Checks payable to Regency Golf League are due ASAP, but not later than April 15. Please include your e-mail address on your check.

Deliver to Shelly Rubin 36 Crenshaw Court.

April 15 Checks and Tee Time Preferences are due
