NO CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE IN THE USE OF CHEMICALS FOR THE INDOOR POOL

I have received an email from Stephanie and our HOA reps that NO changes have been made to the indoor pool with regard to the chemicals being added. Kieve mentioned that the indoor pool was never treated with Chlorine.

Keep in mind that any chemical can cause a problem if you are sensitive to that chemical. When I had a spa on my deck in my other home, just opening the bottle of bromide tablets caused my eyes to be irritated. Also, when I "shocked" the spa I would not allow anyone to go in until it ran for awhile. I also tested the concentration of the chemicals, with testing strips to make sure the chemicals were within the normal limits.

Just before the rain this afternoon I saw a brown envelope at the bottom of my driveway and I brought it in the house. It has two adorable photos of students from the 50s -- and both have this name on the back -- Ms. Lois Blackman, 1 Crooked Stick Road, Jackson, NJ. We looked in the directory and couldn't find her, but the person to whom these belong must miss them -- and if they'll give me a call, they can pick them up. 732-521-4998 -- 12 Hogan Way --

SAVING MONEY ON YOUR AIRLINES TICKETS

I was talking to Paul Schoen the other day and he informed myself and others about an internet site that saves you money on tickets that you might have already purchased. He commented that he had saved a few hundred dollars on some tickets he had purchased for 9 people.

The following site monitors your flight and when the prices drop you get informed. You can call the airlines and ask for the lower rate. Sometimes they will charge you for the change but the lower offer would be greater then the charge, so you come out a winner.

Jot this website down and let me know if it works on your airline tickets. Thanks again Paul for letting us know.

HOW TO SAVE MONEY ON YOUR VERIZON BILL

Margie Shatsky just informed me that if you have the Verizon Freedom Essentials package, it went down in price from $44.99 to $29.99. However, you must call Verizon in order to get the lower price. Thank you Margie for the information.

(EMAILER'S NOTE: Margie, pucker up, Ron's going to give you a big hug and kiss (I know Irv won't mind). It worked!! I called Verizon and they will drop my rates to $29.99 starting in 2 billing cycles. She said this offer was for only new customers but if anyone calls, just tell them that it was done for existing customers. By the way, she put me on the mailing list for letting me know when Verizon will be available for cable TV. Because I use Verizon - DSL, Wireless Service and Home Phone service adding Direct TV (which I had but stopped once we went to Comcast) they are offering big discounts. I'll wait until Verizon offers their cable and at that time maybe the HOA will review the various offers from both Verizon and Comcast to see which deal is the best. My daughter, who lives in Marlboro, recently told me that Verizon is now wiring and has wired various communities within Marlboro. Competition only means more savings and I guess we will all welcome savings on these various products and services.

I had to laugh thinking that once this email goes out 465 Regency residents besides some residents at Encore, will be calling Verizon to get lower rates. Verizon would have to put on 10 new operators to answer all the calls.

Between Paul's suggestion about savings on airline tickets and Margie's savings on our Verizon bills, I think I saved enough money to take Greta to the movies this week. Oh yes, naturally I will ask for my senior discount on the movie tickets and I will eat in a place that offers a 10% discount for seniors plus if I get the tax relief that the Mayor talked about and the Property Tax relief from the State, I might even tell Greta to order something for herself on QVC - there goes all of my relief!! By the way, you have until August 15th to file for your property tax refunds - don't forget!

Does anyone else have anymore "relief's" besides Rolaids?

Regency Digital Photography Club

The next meeting of the Digital Photography Club is Thursday, August 2, from 4PM to 6PM, in the Clubhouse Library. This will be the last meeting of the season and we will discuss opportunities for our next season.

We will review those images dealing with Composition, Lighting and Depth of Field.

A presentation of valuable web-sites on photography will be given.

The theme for our juried competition is "Backlighting."

Looking forward to seeing you next Thursday.

REGENCY DINING CLUB TO START ITS 2007-2008 SEASON- SIGNUP WILL BEGIN IN AUGUST

The 4th season will be starting shortly. Briefly, themed menus are supplied to member couples with assignments to either host or prepare the appetizer, entrée or dessert courses. Groups of four couples get together at the host home for good food, good wine and most of all, good company. Dinners are every two months beginning in October with the last dinner being a progressive dinner with all member couples ending up in the clubhouse for dessert etc.
