MUSIC FROM ACROSS THE STREET

I keep hearing music coming from across the street (CRENSHAW SIDE). It sounds like some guy is singing a song to his wife - all day - all night (No, it isn't MaryAnn by Harry Belafonte). WOW - EMAILING HAS NOW HIT 500 RESIDENTS

It is totally amazing - imagine 500 residents are now reading my emails. Well, maybe a few are actually reading them. I really don't blame the non-readers since I sometimes fall asleep just writing them. Anyway, thanks for making emailing a viable tool in dealing with communications within Regency. Remember emailing is YOUR way of telling your friends and neighbors anything you want to tell them - well mostly anything. I do have to control what is being written.

TESTING THE DOWNLOADS FROM A DRIVE

My thanks to all those residents who sent me an email dealing with the downloads in my last email. All of the problems have been reported to A DRIVE and hopefully they will resolve the problems or provide me with the answers.

To some extent problems are directly related to A DRIVE but, some problems are actually with each residents own computer system. For example, slowness of the download - it can be A DRIVE or it can be your computer. I mentioned to a few residents that periodcially the following should be done to make your computer run faster:

Delete Temporary Files
Delete History
Delete Cookies (you would have to re-login on various sites that you logged into.)
Empty Recycle Bin
Run Adaware
Defrag at least once a month.

Keep in mind that the processor speed of your computer determines how fast something can be downloaded. If you have an old computer, downloading can take forever as compared to a computer with a Pentium 4 processor. If you use Comcast, even though the speeds can be 6 Mb, this varies also depending upon how many people are on the Comcast system.

Those of you who are having problems you might want to try COPYING the link and then PASTING the link onto your URL box in Internet Explorer.

DISPLAY PROBLEMS RELATED TO MY EMAILS

Some of you mentioned that my emails are going past then end of the screen and for each line you would have to scroll back and forth. I am now using Outlook Express in doing my emails so I am not sure if there is some setting dealing with this problem that I have overlooked. Rather then my suggesting you to go into Control Panel and Display, it is easier for me just to let you know that by going to my BLOG http://regencyemailer2.blogspot.com/
you will be able to view my current (and archived) emails without scrolling over after each line. If I find an answer I will correct the problem.

OUTLOOK EXPRESS USERS

If you are having problems with downloading my links or links from other individuals try doing the following:
1. Go to Tools
2. Click on Options
3. Click on Security
4. Click on Internet Zone

You might be setting your security level too high. If you have Norton's or McAfee, this should prevent any virus or security problems.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ROSE AND BOB PASTERNAK

Rose and Bob Pasternak are most happy to announce the birth of our first grandchild: Maya Emily.

Maya was born on Wednesday, November 7th. Both Maya and her parents, Sarah and Jared Pasternak are doing fine
