CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THIS YEARS PLAY

Most of us have heard about the play THE JERSEY BOYS but this play better watch out because THE JERSEY GIRLS (Sue Tendler and Lorraine Zimmerman) are probably on the way to Broadway as Producer and Director.

The word is in!! This year's play was a HUGE success and by the applause it received at both performances, it's going to be a play that is hard to beat. Knowing our JERSEY GIRLS, they are probably working already on next years play.

Accolades are extended to the cast of actors and players. You did a FANTASTIC job. Sometimes we don't know about those individuals who work "behind the scenes" so it is important to recognize those of you who worked so hard in putting this play together. Our thanks and gratitude are extended to the following individuals:

Susan Tendler - playwright and director
Lorraine Zimmerman - playwright and producer
Sandi Shumsky, playwright and set and costume designer. The word that the emailer received about Sandi is that she is just AMAZING! So what else is new! Everyone year Sandi does her "thing" and spends countless hours on doing it and doing it well.
Carol Kortmansky, choreographer.
Working backstage were Carol and Bill Langer, Jerry Buren,
Mickey Berke
Arlene Eisenberger, who stepped in at the last minute as an understudy
Frank DePaola, who helped tirelessly backstage when he wasn't onstage singing.

From outside this community were two marvelous people who spent countless hours rehearsing us and lending their support and expertise- Joyce Kay, musical director and Bunny Feigenbaum, tap choreographer.

Here is a typical email I received from a resident regarding the show:

"This was the first Regency production I attended. Just want to let the cast
and crew know how absolutely wonderful the show was. What talent! What
enthusiasm! What hard work and dedication! What fun!
Thank you for such a delightful, feel good evening."
Status of the Tax Relief Effort as of 10/22/07

In early October, Mitchell Elias, Tax Assessor for Monroe Township, issued a letter to every resident in each of the four CCMT communities stating “it is my intention to revise your tax assessment for the year 2008”. Some sections of the letter were confusing; but the primary message was that assessments in all four communities would be adjusted downward. The CCMT had accomplished the primary goal that we had struggled so hard to achieve for so long. It is now important to get the Township to follow through with their promises of lower assessments.

It is important to note that the Township has been told by the legal representative for the Middlesex County Tax Board and the State Division of Taxation that the Township cannot revise the 2008 assessments on its own without reaching an accord with the CCMT. We remain hopeful of a settlement on some relatively small, but very important, remaining differences. But, we are becoming increasingly concerned about the Township’s willingness to address these differences.

Once a settlement has been reached and officially accepted, we could elect to withdraw our law suit. Of course, with the withdrawal of the law suit, the SPECTOR of an immediate township wide revaluation would disappear, and the Mayor would have fulfilled his commitment to provide Tax Relief as he verbalized during his visit to Regency, Renaissance at Monroe, and Renaissance at Cranbury Crossings. The net results of these actions would benefit homeowners in all areas of the Township. The ball is in the Township’s court. We await their decision.

MO ADLER, ALIAS, THE MADMAN, FOUND A PIECE OF JEWELRY

If you are missing a piece of jewelry, contact, MO, THE MADMAN, ADLER, 732-605-7938. Just describe what you might have lost. I described a round 2 Karat diamond and was wrong on my first guess. Imagine, Mo refused to allow me to guess two more times. Now I understand why they gave him the nickname "THE MADMAN".

THAT'S IT FOR NOW
