A NEW FEATURE FOR THE EMAILER - "THE ROAMING EMAILER"

Yes, the EMAILER will be roaming the streets, roaming the clubhouse, roaming the locker rooms (men only) and roaming party's, events, you name it! Of course he will be roaming with his new camera taking not only still pictures but VIDEO.

Well here I am attending the Cordus Mundi show when I decided to interview Marty Kornfeld, our Men's Club President. Sunday was filled with Men's Club activities, starting with the Breakfast and winding up with the Cordus Mundi group. So, while Marty was working hard in the kitchen I decided to ask him a few questions. What turned out to be simple assignment, well I will let you see what happened and you be the judge, Click on the following link (it will take a little time to download)

Shocking, wasn't it! Well, the ROAMING EMAILER will shock you with other videos so when you see me with my camera, HIDE!

FILE STORAGE - A DRIVE

As mentioned in a previous email, I was having some problems storing files on Zoomshare. Emailing has just hit 500 emails and when everyone starts clicking in the links I provide within an email, Zoomshare shuts down after so many "hits". So I am now testing a site called A DRIVE. It seems even better than Zoomshare since I would bet 50GB of storage and files can be larger than 5MB. When you click on a link it will download the file I had uploaded as a temporary file. Future emails will only have A DRIVE as my storage site. If you have any problems clicking on the above link related to the ROAMING EMAILER or the link below related to the Holiday Party of the Women's Group, please let me know. The song just below is still with Zoomshare but that will change in future emails

WE NEED YOUR HELP

The newly formed committee dealing with Purchasing needs your help. We are compiling a list of vendors and services/items that would be commonly used or needed by most of our residents. Some of you have already submitted the names of companies/individuals that you feel would be worthy of our including in some directory that we would establish.

As I had mentioned previously, some services, like Security Monitoring (which will probably be reviewed and approved at our next meeting), Exterminators, Window Cleaners, Driveway Sealing, etc. the committee will go out for bids. Other items or services like Electricians, Plumbers, etc we will have a Directory in which you will see those individuals or company's that have been recommended (or not recommended) by other residents. The Directory will NOT include the name of the Referring Resident.

So, your help is needed in developing this Directory. Please give us the names of individuals or companies that you feel should (or should not) be put into this Directory. Here are the types of services we are looking for:

APPLIANCE REPAIR
HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING
CABINET MAKER
CARPETS
CARPET CLEANING
CLOSETS
COMPUTER REPAIR
CONTRACTOR/CARPENTER
DRYER VENT CLEANER
ELECTRICIAN
EXTERMINATOR
FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
FLOORING
GARAGE DOORS & SPRINGS
HANDYMAN
HOME IMPROVEMENT
HOME THEATRE
LANDSCAPER
LIGHTING CONTROL SYSTEMS INDOORS/OUTDOORS
LIMO SERVICE
PAINTER
PLUMBING
POWERWASHING
RESTORATION/REFINISHER
SERVICE CONTRACTS FOR HOME
TILE & GROUT CLEANING
WINDOW CLEANERS
WINDOW FASHIONS/TREATMENTS

If this is going to work we NEED your INPUT. The committee will decide if we should call in some of these people and get a "special" price for Regency residents, eg Limo Service, Garage Door Springs, Dryer Vent Cleaner (it has been suggested that the vent leading to your roof be cleaned out periodically - not just the vent behind your dryer), etc.

Also, if you are a resident that can provide us with a service or an item, send me a one page flyer or something to that affect, which describes your service, item, etc. The Directory will include the names of Regency residents who provide services or items. However, the Committee will not entertain any bidding for these services from residents. A resident can deal with these providers directly.

If you know of a business that will save us some $$$ by just going there and letting them know either that we would like a senior discount or like Manalapan Diner, just mention that you are from Regency, let me know and I will include it in our Directory.

Our future goals are to expand our Purchasing "Power" to other Adult communities because we could possibly get even better pricing by having a larger number of resident members.

In New York I was involved with two HUGE Purchasing groups, THE GREATER NY HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION and THE JOINT PURCHASING CORPORATION. Our Pharmaceutical contracts were in the billions of dollars between both groups. Our cost savings because of our volume was UNREAL. We secured the best pricing, almost matching governmental pricing (which by mandate had to be the lowest pricing allowable). So it is up to you to provide us with the information we are requesting and to look over our contracts and if you like what you see, it will be your decision as to what you want to do. Our Purchasing Group will NEVER require you to adhere to any of our contracts. It will be your decision.

WEIGHT WATCHERS ANNOUNCEMENT

Sher's production breaks the barrier between the stage and the audience, bringing the singers closer to the audience than ever before. Mezzo-soprano Elîna Garanèa makes her highly anticipated Met debut as Rosina.

Any question, or if you want info on the production you can contact Don Nicita, Carmine Carrara, Joe Scala or Tony Labozetta.

AHH! HAA! YOU DIDN'T DO IT YET!

Did you shut off your outdoor water supply? If you didn't I'm going to do the following:

SMOKE DETECTORS

It has come to my attention that smoke detectors should be cleaned besides replacing the batteries on a yearly basis. I am not sure how many different types of smoke detectors we have in our homes but manufacturers do suggest that some of the parts be cleaned, either by using compressed air of wiping it down with a cloth. Some manufacturers also suggest that smoke detectors be replaced after 10 years.

Besides having a few ex-firemen living here at Regency, we also have a township Fire Commissioner. I know that the community would appreciate it if you can check something like this out so that I can send everyone what needs to be done.

THAT'S IT FOR NOW
