MEN'S GOLF LEAGUE AT REGENCY - THURSDAY'S

To all those that were members last season. Quite a few people have asked about the Men's League this year.

The following message was sent out via the Regency Emailer. Note the check is to be made out to the REGENCY GOLF LEAGUE. It is for $60. The Men's League Breakfast is 9AM on THursday, May 1st.

All players are required to have GHIN handicaps by April 29, in order to be included in the first week's competition, and to enable the computer to assign the teams. for weekly competition.

This year, all competitions will be team events.

Golf Handicap Index fee for $20 in cash is payable in Golf Pro Shop in April. This should be done early in April as they will have to activate the handicap for those that are already in the system, or create the handicap for new members, prior to entering scores

(New Golfers: To establish a handicap, ten 9 hole scores or five 18 hole scores must be entered)

Cost is $60 for league membership which includes dues, beginning of year breakfast, end of season luncheon, and prizes.

Checks payable to Regency Golf League are due ASAP, but not later than April 15. Deliver to Shelly Rubin 36 Crenshaw Court. Include your email address on the check.

May 8 League Play Begins

WOMEN'S CLUB - GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Regency Women’s Club will be sponsoring a golf tournament on Monday, April 28th at the Knob Hill Golf Course. All Regency men and women are welcome to sign up for the tournament. This tournament benefits the Ronald McDonald House. The day includes breakfast at the course, golf, cart, shotgun start, prizes, an auction, and lunch. The cost for this worthy cause is $100.00 per person. Non-golfers who wish to join us for the luncheon, may do so at a cost of $30.00. Residents who are unable to attend, but who wish to donate, can send a tax deductible check of $10.00 or more, made out to the Ronald McDonald House.

If you wish to participate as a golfer, man or woman, the deadline for the golf fee is Saturday, March 15th. Donations are also due on March 15th. A golf flyer will be at the Clubhouse. Send your checks and/or donations by March 15th to one of the following people: Sue Miller, 19 Torrey Pines Drive, Sue Paris, 25 Crenshaw Court , or Roz Kornfeld, 8 Glen Eagles Way. This will be a “fun” day. Ronald McDonald House is a wonderful cause and we greatly appreciate the support of our Regency community! This is certainly an outstanding activity and will benefit needy children and their families!

SOME SECURITY TIPS FROM THE MEETING WITH THE POLICE IN OUR CLUBHOUSE

I would like to thank one of our residents for taking some notes at the meeting in our Clubhouse regarding secuirity for our homes. Here are some key points.

KEEP LIGHTS ON, inside and outside of our homes. (No burglaries have been committed in homes with lights on.) Lights inside should be in the kitchen, master bathroom, and family room.

KEEP BACKYARD OUTSIDE LIGHTS ON when it is dark. (Detective Grosser really stressed the need for all of us to keep these lights on .)

The burglar is known as the "Early Bird Special Burglar", since the burglaries have been taking place between 5:00-9:00 P.M. on weekend nights.

Keep jewelry in a safe deposit box. Keep money and any other jewelry OUT of the master bedroom and bathroom. This burglar wants only jewelry and cash.

Back of house sliding patio glass doors should have an extra lock installed with screws.

Putting a piece of wood (like a broom stick) does no good on the stationary door of the slider.
