Board of Fire Commissioner Elections

Monroe Township New Jersey District #3

Saturday Feb 16, 2008 2-9PM

My fellow Regency at Monroe residents:

This Saturday at our clubhouse elections will take place for Fire Commissioner . I have served my community for the past 40 years. I first started in Brooklyn NY in 1967 becoming an auxiliary police officer. After moving to New Jersey in 1972 I joined the Gordons Corner Fire Company, Manalapan Township District # 1 as a volunteer firefighter and served for 35 years. Today I am a life exempt member of that fire company.

In 1977, I was elected to the Board of Fire Commissioners and served in all positions (including president for 5 years). I was reelected and served for 20 years.

This Saturday I am running to be elected to the Monroe Board of Fire Commissioners. I hope you will vote for me and if you have any family and friends that live in this fire district, please call them and ask them to vote for me, since I am the only candidate running with experience of the Fire Department.

Thank You,

Gerald Kaplan

(EMAILER'S NOTE: AS I MENTIONED IN A PREVIOUS EMAIL I KNOW JERRY FOR OVER 30 YEARS. HE WILL SERVE MONROE TOWNSHIP (AND REGENCY) WITH TOTAL DEDICATION AND PROFESSIONALISM. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE NOW SHOW HOW UNITED REGENCY IS BY COMING OUT AND VOTING. IF YOU ARE ON YOUR WAY OUT OR IN FROM REGENCY BETWEEN 2 PM AND 9 PM, STOP OFF AT THE CLUBHOUSE FOR 5 MINUTES AND VOTE)

A NEW CLUB IS FORMED
THE REGENCY HIKING CLUB - FIRST MEETING - FEBRUARY 20TH AT 1 PM

The Regency Hiking Club will be open to all residents of The Regency Community. The purpose of the club is to provide hiking (walking) opportunities as a group experience at various county and state parks beginning in March and continuing into the Fall. Most of the hikes will make use of the trails that exist in the parks visited. Some parks may provide historical or natural aspects that members may wish to experience following the completion of the hike. No special equipment is needed, such as hiking boots, but a small backpack for carrying water, lunch, and a possible camera is suggested.

The purpose of the meeting on February 20 at 1 p.m. will be to judge whether there is sufficient interest to support a hiking club. If so, then those attending will engage in a discussion of which day of the week, how often (once a week, twice a month, etc.), what time of day to meet for carpooling purposes, and any suggestions that those attending may wish to bring up. If someone is interested in joining the club but cannot make the meeting due to a conflict, please send an email to Doug Poye (gdpoye@verizon.net) including your name(s) and any comment relative to the points mentioned in the above description.

A THANK YOU NOTE FROM CAROL ADLER

I would like to thank all my friends at Regency for their amazing support following my accident. Although I was hurting on the outside, my insides were warm from the love and encouragement around me.

With love and gratitude,
Carol

ANSWER TO QUESTION REGARDING RECEPTION (MOSAIC) ON TV

I do not have a LCD or plasma screen, but I do have sometimes a mosaic for a few seconds. On the other hand if this is a constant problem on a plasma or LCD it is usually a TV problem not the transmission problem. My son had this same issue with IO Monmouth cable and he returned the TV and got an exchange... it fixed the problem.
