DOO WOP CONCERTS

Many of us, including yours truly, are genuine Doo Wopper's. During the summer there are many "free" concerts that I let the community know about. If you know of any, please send me the information so that I could send it out. I will be "surfing" the internet to find as many as I can. Woodbridge, Edision, Marlboro, Manalapan usually run concerts.

For those true Rock N' Rollers and Doo Woppers, in the next few weeks a new feature will be added to my BLOG. It will be like a Jukebox. You will have MANY songs, the names of the Artists and all you have to do is click on a number and the song you want to listen too will be played. I will let you know when it finally gets added to my BLOG.

ROMEO'S SCHEDULE FOR THE MEN'S LUNCHEONS

For those of you (men only) who are new to Regency, the ROMEO'S (RETIRED OLD MEN EATING OUT) was a group I formed many years ago to get new men residents to meet some of the "oldtimers" of Regency. I am happy to report that the ROMEO'S are still eating out on Tuesdays. We meet at 11:45 in front of the clubhouse and car pool to our destination. If you want to join us, please be in front of the clubhouse on Tuesday(s) at 11:45. At 11:46 - we're gone!

I have not been able to attend many of the Tuesday luncheon's but Rich Lans has done a great job in taking over. He is now officially "Mr. Romeo". Don't worry Hedda, you will always be his Juliet!

CHECK YOUR CHARGE CARD STATEMENTS

Do you really check your charge card statements? In our home, my wife orders and the emailer pays (electronically on line). However, I kept noticing a $10 charge from Travel Values Plus.com that is being added to one of our credit cards. When I questioned TVP.com they told me that at one time when my wife ordered something online she requested a $10 discount, but the fine line read, after joining TVP.com which will bill $10/month to the credit card being used.

Naturally, I love my wife and her little mistake was forgiven. So TVP.com, who probably gets many angry telephone calls, instantly refunded every month's payment. However, on another charge card they mentioned that a $9/month payment was added for Reservation Rewards.com which of course I requested a refund back to day one which they did. So I calmed down a second time, told my wife I love her and then proceeded to SMASH her computer (just joking).

Just be careful and review your credit card statements!

COMCAST - SNOWBIRDS

One of our residents has informed me that you can turn off your Cable TV with Comcast when you leave Regency for a prolonged time (like going to Florida in the winter). The turn off charge is $11/month. This only applies to packages that aren't part of the TRIPLE PLAY. To confirm this, you must call Comcast.

MEN'S GOLF LEAGUE - REGENCY

The men?s golf league announces the 2007 season starting Thursday May 10th. All skill levels are welcome.

Cost is $50 and includes dues, breakfast, luncheon, and prizes.
(It does not include each member?s handicap fee).

For those players who have not already established a handicap, they should try establish one prior to league play. Everyone can play, but only those with handicaps can be included in competition.

You must submit 10 9 hole scores or 5 18 hole scores to establish a handicap.

The yearly handicap fee ($20 cash) is paid to the pro shop for the GHIN handicap.

The Men?s Golf League Breakfast for Paid up members & Preseason Meeting will be on Friday May 4th at 9:00am in the clubhouse ball room
