Status of the tax relief effort
Our law firm is preparing to file the "complaint" in Superior Court within days. A memorandum explaining everything has been prepared by our committee, and is awaiting some final administrative procedures. One important item is establishing a communication path to those residents who have supported this effort financially. We have prepared a list of names, addresses, block, and lot numbers which will be turned over to the law firm when they request it.
If you are part of this group, and you want to receive timely updates on the progress of the court proceedings, please inform Ron Post to release your e-mail address to our committee. Our committee is now a joint undertaking of both Regency at Monroe and Renaissance at Monroe. The old terminology, PAC Committee will be discontinued. This was a recommendation of the law firm, and is explained in the memorandum.

2007 MEN'S GOLF AT THE MEADOWS
STARTING - WEDNESDAY, APRIL 4, 2007
I have made all the corrections, additions, deletions from the list of REGULARS for the 2007 Men's Golf at the Meadows. Originally I had left off some names and now that has been corrected. We have 48 Regulars (12 tee times) and we will being on April 4th.
So far just 8 Regulars have contacted me that they will be starting later than April 4th. The balance, 40 players, will be starting on April 4th unless I hear from you prior to March 1st. Otherwise the schedule will be made up and your name will be included on April 4th.
Again, once the schedule is sent out and if you aren't able to play, you must contact a sub to take your place. You then must contact the Captain of the foursome to let him know of the change. If a sub isn't found, unfortunately you would have to pay our Treasurer, Seymour Hyden $10 and he will reimburse the threesome for the extra cost they will incur.
Remember to send or give Seymour $25 before March 1st. This will be used for prizes we will have for tournaments throughout the season plus usually we give Susan at the Meadows a gift at the end of the season.

LET'S GO ON A FOX HUNT? OR, IS IT TOO LATE!
Our Red Fox has been spotted in the backyard of Bobby Bernstein (Turnberry Drive). However, a week later I noticed that Elaine Bernstein was wearing a beautiful RED FOX coat. HMMMM! Bobby is a great golfer but I think Elaine should have taken the golf ball out of the mouth of her new RED FOX coat.
Bobby yelled "FOUR" but the fox didn't understand what he meant by the other word. You see Bobby yelled "FOR" ELAINE!
CONFIDENTIALITY OF TELEPHONE NUMBERS
There might have been some concern on the part of residents regarding my BLOG and having telephone numbers listed for all residents. From the very beginning, the telephone directory list has been totally secured by PASSWORD encryption. Nobody but Regency resident were given the password. If you click on the Telephone Directory on my BLOG:

it says PASSWORD REQUIRED. When you click on it, it will ask you for the password which is emailer (lower case).
However, even though I have secured my site and your telephone numbers our new way of distributing our telephone numbers using a booklet with advertising certainly is less restrictive then my site. The booklet definitely goes to each of the vendors who are advertising in it plus probably potential advertisers. I doubt very much if this booklet remains solely within Regency.
Today, with technology being the way it is, there are sites on the internet that can tell you what you probably had for breakfast. What a feeling of having your privacy violated and as much as you think everything is secure, you will be surprised as to what information is available. I think I am watching too many of those CIA/FBI movies!
So if any resident feels that they want to remain totally anonymous, contact Jen at the concierge desk and ask to be removed and/or contact myself if you want your name removed from my password secured BLOG.

Arline had surgery on right hip after falling in our clubhouse last Monday.
She is being moved later today to the Cranbury Center on Applegarth Road in Monroe
for rehab and she thanks all who have called, sent cards and visited wishing her speedy recovery.

NOT RECEIVING EMAILS?
A few residents have indicated that they haven't received some of my emails. After checking the problem I have noticed that when you might have deleted some of my old emails instead of pressing DELETE you pressed JUNK and it went into your JUNK box. What happens here is that all future emails, depending upon the email program you use, send my emails to your JUNK box vs. INBOX.
I'm not sure how to correct the problem since my email program is Eudora, which is very unique and this problem would not exist in Eudora. To get emails out of the Junk box and back into the inbox you would have to contact your email provider to find out what to do. Otherwise you have 2 choices: 1. Look in your JUNK box or 2. Go to my BLOG http://regencyemailer2.blogspot.com/ and check out EMAIL ARCHIVES
MY APOLOGIES FOR ANY MISUNDERSTANDINGS
I received a few emails regarding what I had said in one or more of my emails with regard to ISP's. When I attended one of the early Town Hall meetings I thought it was mentioned that we would be on our own when it came to selecting an ISP. I know at that meeting that Don Haback, representing the Technology Committee, indicated that the Technology Committee recommends that residents go to Verizon DSL as their ISP.
At the recent HOA meeting Kieve and/or Charlie mentioned that residents should wait until they hear from their HOA reps. before selecting an ISP vendor. I wrote Kieve and Charlie and they both indicated that this was what was said from the very beginning.
So, my apologies to the Regency community for telling residents that they should find and select their own ISP vendor. Unfortunately, my email was never corrected and some of you might have already selected Verizon DSL as your vendor versus waiting until Kieve and Charlie let you know what to do.
I know that both Kieve and Charlie have the best interests of Regency at heart and I support whatever their decision is with regard to ISP's. I just want to make sure that the correct message(s) are being sent out to all residents.

CONGRATULATIONS TO NANCY AND GEORGE SPERLING
We are thrilled to announce the birth of our second granddaughter - Maya Hailey Sperling, to our son, Jeremy and daughter in law, Erika, on December 26th 2006 She weighed in at 7 lbs 5 oz and was 20 inches long.
She arrived just 7 weeks after her cousin Molly. This has been a productive year for my 2 oldest kids!!
We just love being a grandma and grandpa
