Status of our Tax Appeal effort as of 11/01/06

Representatives of the Regency & Renaissance Tax Relief Committee met with our attorney this morning, 11/01/06, and authorized him to file the necessary papers to proceed to court. The actual legal activity will be a complaint filed in Superior Court, with a Tax Court Judge presiding. Monroe Township, Middlesex County, and the State Division of Taxation will be the subjects of the complaint. The paperwork is expected to be completed within 30 days. As of this morning, 338 Regency families have contributed to the court expenses. Renaissance has at least 130 participants.

This will probably increase as all of our travelers return home. We will not be actively soliciting contributions from those residents who have not yet contributed. But, we will accept contributions for a short while until the paperwork is completed.

Thank you for your continued support.

DON'T MESS WITH THE ITALIAN - AMERICAN CLUB!

Carmine said he WANTED the pictures of the recent Italian-American Club shown to everyone and the Emailer, failed the test. I would NEVER mess with Carmine or the Italian - American Club as one day I might need a favor (you know what I mean by a favor!). So Ron set out to figure out why everyone was having problems with Snapfish.

So I now signed up for 250 MB of pictures to be stored on the a Web Based site run by GOOGLE/PICASSA. For an additional $25 a year I can get up to 6 GB, so don't worry Carmine, Ron will spring for the bucks so that one day I can say, "Carmine, make my day" So here is the new site and just click on the link and play around with the pictures and you can even see it as a slideshow

A RESIDENT'S MESSAGE REGARDING THE GRAND OPENING OF OUR BALLROOM

I attended the Grand Opening of the new Ball Room. It was a very nice affair. I believe that Toll Brothers did a very nice job. They provided plenty of food and drinks and a very good orchestra.

The only bad thing that I found was my embarrassment at the inability of our neighbors to give Toll Brothers and the Mayor the courtesy of five minutes of silence while they were trying to talk.

We live in a great community with wonderful neighbors, but for some reason we seem to have a problem in this area.

This is not the first time I have seen this, it is the first time when people from the outside were present.

We are better than this and we should be able to have outsiders come into the community with out being embarrassed.

I believe the members of our board should write a letter to Toll Brothers and the Mayor apologizing for the situation and thank them for wonderful affair.

We have the best of the best living in our community. We should reflect this at our functions when someone is trying to speak.

(EMAILER'S NOTE: THIS RESIDENTS MESSAGE DOES MAKE A LOT OF SENSE AND WE SHOULD BE GIVING OUR GUESTS OUR ATTENTION WHEN THEY WISH TO SAY A FEW WORDS. OUR MAYOR HAS DONE A LOT FOR REGENCY AND HOPEFULLY HE WILL BE DOING A LOT MORE (HE DID MENTION THE WORDS "PROPERTY TAX") SO A FEW MINUTES OF OUR TIME IS THE LEAST WE CAN DO.)

Congratulations to Herb Goldstein

who scored a hole in one on the first hole at Regency using his trusty 6 iron. This feat was witnessed by the non- partisan team of Ted Shuster and Stu Jason

THAT'S IT FOR NOW
