PLANNING BOARD MEETING - NOVEMBER 28TH - RE: SECTION 7

A meeting of the Monroe Township Planning Board on behalf of Toll Bros.,Inc. will take place on Wednesday November 28,2007 at 7:00p.m. at the Monroe Township Council Chambers, Municipal Building, 1 Municipal Plaza. This meeting will deal with Toll Bros. application to obtain approval to permit construction on phase 7 homes. This permit will give them the go ahead with the taking down of the beautiful hill which runs for approximately one half mile through the center of the property. The beauty of this hill is not only enjoyed by those who live directly behind it, but by everyone who has at least a partial view from many vantage points on the property.I will be appearing at this meeting to appeal to Toll Bros. to reconsider the planned removal of this hill. I am calling on all residents who share my views to show up at this meeting to lend their support. Please contact Jerry Lubetzki @ 973-605-0474 to let me know if you would like to attend and make your voices heard.
Thank you,
Jerry Lubetzki

ROMEO'S SCHEDULE FROM JANUARY - JUNE 2008

New residents might ask - What or Who are the Romeo's. Ladies, we might not wear Red Hats, or have purple clothes (well, some men might) but the ROMEO's are RETIRED OLD MEN EATING OUT. Yes, on Tuesdays at 11:45 AM hungry men meet in front of the Clubhouse for their journey to a pre selected restaurant. Now that I am on a diet (I am down to just 6 Twinkees a day), Rich Lans has taken over for me and has done a magificent job (as always). So, if you are new to Regency and want to meet other guys who are "old" to Regency, join them on their quest for food. Don't be late because these guys leave at 11:45 AM sharp.

FISHING CLUB NEWS

On Tuesday November 13, the fishing club held it’s last charter trip of 2007 aboard the Eagle sailing out of Atlantic Highlands, NJ with Captain Art Hilliard as our Captain. We left the dock at 6:45am with 14 men aboard for Striped Bass. The weather was very overcast, chilly and raining on and off. We traveled about 8 miles east southeast to the beginning of Ambrose Channel, dropped anchor and started to fish. For about two hours we caught a few Skates and a few Dogfish. The weather was terrible and no action, so we asked the Captain to switch over to bottom fishing for Porgies and Seabass. We lifted the anchor and headed west toward the Jersey shore for the Sandy Hook Reef. Upon arrival at the reef, the boat drifted and we picked up a few Porgies, but nothing to write home about. At 11:00 the sun came out, the tide changed and it warmed up, the Captain started the engines and we headed south toward the Shrewsbury Rocks. On the way we spotted hundreds of SeaGulls hitting the water. This is a sure sign that Bluefish and possibly Striped Bass are feeding on the schools of Peanut Bunker ( baby Moss Bunker). The Captain changed course and headed toward the birds. He instructed the mate to put silver diamond jigs on everyone’s rods. Upon arrival we started to cast out toward the birds, which now were all around the boat. As soon as the jig hit the water we started a fast retrieve and immediately everyone was reeling in 2 to 4lb.Bluefish. Some of us allowed the jigs to reach the bottom before reeling in just in case the Bass were under the Blues, this is the normal feeding pattern for both species. We then started to get a good mix of short Striped Bass (under 28 inches). As we continued to follow the birds we continued catching a mix of Bluefish & Striped Bass. At 1:00 we headed back to the dock, the winner of the pool was Mark Klein with a 39” 19 1/2lb. Striped Bass. The estimated total count was 4 keeper Bass with at least 50 shorts and well over 100 Bluefish, though we only kept 20. Everyone aboard was tired and their arms hurt but all had a great time. This was a great day to end our season aboard the Eagle until next year.
Please watch for announcements of additional trips for the remainder of the year. These trips will be held on open party boats based on the weather.

*Open party boats, you pay on the boat. Dates may change based on weather and fishery.

The Fishing Club holds their meeting at 7:00pm on the second Tuesday of each month in the clubhouse library, come join us all are welcome.

(EMAILER'S NOTE: FIRST OF ALL, I WOULDN'T BRAG ABOUT CATCHING SKATES. DID THESE SKATES HAVE 2 WHEELS OR 4 WHEELS. I'M MISSING MY 4 WHEEL SKATES. SECONDLY, HOW CAN A 6" FISH WEIGH ABOUT 2O POUNDS? SOMEONE FORCE FED THIS POOR FISH SOME IRON PELLETS AND FINALLY, GETTING UP AT 5 AM, DRIVING IN THE RAIN AND COLD TO GO ON A FISHING TRIP, IN THE RAIN AND COLD, BESIDES BEING DARK, THEN GOING ON A BOAT IN CHOPPY WATERS AND COMING HOME SMELLING LIKE A PIECE OF SUISHIAND BEING TOLD BY YOUR SPOUSE, "YOU STINK AND SHOWER IN THE CLUBHOUSE", IS THIS REALLY FUN? IF IT IS FUN, THEN BOY OH BOY WHAT I AM DOING IS LIKE HAVING A PARTY - SLEEPING UNDER A WARM BLANKET, GETTING UP, HAVING A HOT DRINK, LOOKING OUTSIDE AND SAYING, HMMM, TIME FOR ANOTHER NAP AND DREAMING ABOUT MY HOLE IN ONE)

MESSAGE FROM THE BOSTON CLUB

THE NEW AND EXCITING BOSTON CLUB, THE HOTTEST CLUB, ORGANIZATION OR GROUP TO EVER HIT REGENCY. THE PHONES ARE RINGING SO FAST THAT STAN AND I HAD TO GET OUR WIVES TO HELP WITH THE NEW MEMBER PARTICIPATION. ANOTHER NEW MEMBER WAS VOTED IN THIS MORNING.(EVEN MIKE LOWELL JUST SIGNED UP). LOOKS LIKE STAN AND I HIT PAYDIRT.

(Emailers Note: George likes to exaggerate. "The phones are ringing so fast" only means that George is still hearing the ringing in his ears when he was hit by a shuffleboard. Roz, his lovely wife, is always involved in what George does. George asking for her help only means that the one telephone call he received asking to join the Boston Club was too much work. George, as far as people joining your club, well in a separate email and as your friend, I mentioned that I would offer residents $5 to join the Boston Club even if they lived in Brooklyn. I didn't want the first meeting to be just you and Stan)
