I'LL NEVER FIND ANOTHER YOU!

IMPORTANT

With many of you changing your email addresses it is important that you do the following (even if your email address remains the same). Put this message in your INBOX and leave it there. Also, make sure my above email address is in your ADDRESS BOOK. Also, when you want to delete one of my messages you should click on DELETE and NOT JUNK. Once I am in your JUNK box, you will NOT be receiving any of my emails. So review your JUNK boxes and if you see any messages from MONMOUTH.COM put them into your INBOX.

At the present time, INTELLICONTACT the company I use to send out my emails provides me with all sorts of statistics dealing with the emails that I send out. Currently 430+ emails are sent out at one time (life is easy!). Of the 430+ emails many go unopened. I haven't the faintest clue as to why this happens unless residents just don't open their emails. I do receive reports showing which emails are being delivered and read. Considering that INTELLICONTACT bases it's fees on how many emails are being sent out at one time, I will be reviewing those email addresses that aren't opening my emails. I will then send that email address an email from a source other than INTELLICONTACT to let the resident know that their email address will be eliminated unless there are extenuating circumstances.

CHECK OUT MY BLOG

Some residents have asked if I could send them my previous emails since they have been without the internet and emails until they were able to get a new email address and/or go on the internet. Click on above link which will take you to my BLOG. On the left side you will find EMAIL ARCHIVES and just click on this and you will see all of my previous emails.

COMCAST CHANGEOVER

For most of us, including myself the changeover, went as smooth as "butter". Charlie, Kieve and Stephanie should be complimented for a job well done.

There is one point however, that should be brought to the attention of all residents. If you ordered HD, which I did, but required a HD cable greater than 6 feet, you might or might not have received one. You also might have been told that Comcast doesn't supply cables longer than 6 feet.

The two techs who came to my home told me that they were currently out of them but will check with other Comcast trucks to see if they have them. The asked one driver if he had any and he said he installed his last one.

When I contacted the hotline, they told me that Comcast does not supply 12 ft. HD cables. I told that person what was stated to me and what the driver of another truck said about installing his last one. So this person and Tony (the Sales Manager) both said, it's the homeowners responsibility to purchase these cables. About an hour later I called back to find out exactly what cable needed to be purchased and re-questioned the person about why Comcast doesn't supply these cables. He went to the parts manager and came back and said that the parts manager, who has been with Comcast for 20 years, said that they never supplied 12 foot cables.

To make a long story short (not easy for me), prior to purchasing the 12 ft cable my doorbell rang and the two techs walked in with a 12 ft cable and said that Comcast finally got them in. They told me that Comcast always has them but were out of stock. They also showed me how to turn on Channel 2 without keying in 002. Tony and this other person said you must key in 002. I think they might have worked for Advanced Broadband at one time.

MEN'S BOWLING LEAGUE BEGINS THIS THURSDAY

Herb Cohen, the Men's bowling CHIEF, reminds us that this Thursday begins the Men's Bowling League. It starts at 7PM and it's at the Strathmore Lanes on Route 34 in Matawan. Due to the intense recruiting, the Men's League now has 51 bowlers, or should I say, 51 men who bring their bowling balls. As far as bowling, we'll see at the end of the season if there are any bowlers.
